West Ham Could Sign Next Payet In Move For £34.5m "Star Boy"

West Ham United are interested in signing one of the hottest attacking properties around this summer.

But who is that player?

What’s the latest West Ham transfer news?

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Irons are set to ‘open initial talks’ to sign Mohammed Kudus, who has been described as the ‘priority target’ in case Lucas Paqueta joins Manchester City.

The Italian journalist revealed that ‘positive talks’ have already begun with Kudus, who is ‘open’ to the transfer. Nonetheless, the deal still remains very dependent on Paqueta’s situation.

It's understood the Brazilian has reached an agreement with the reigning European Champions and wants the move. The opening £70m bid was rejected by the Hammers, but City will submit a new one.

On 5 August, Brighton settled on a fee with Ajax in the region of €40m (£34.5m) for the attacking midfielder, who was described as a ‘key target’ for Roberto De Zerbi.

However, it was revealed by The Guardian that a move to the south coast has collapsed due to personal terms, opening the door for West Ham, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

What does Mohammed Kudus offer?

The high level of Premier League interest in Kudus is indicative of the forward’s admirable and sought-after quality. Last season can be labelled as a ‘breakout’ for the Ghanaian, who emphatically hit new heights in his productivity.

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

In 42 appearances across all competitions, he recorded 25 goal involvements and also enjoyed an eye-catching World Cup, scoring twice and completing 71% of his dribbles.

During the international tournament, his former teammate Calvin Bassey described him as a “star boy” and his reputation has arguably skyrocketed thanks to his positional versatility – according to The Athletic, in 2,272 minutes of Eredivisie football since the start of the 2021/22 season, he has played 22% of the time as a striker, 40% as a right-winger, 9% as an attacking midfielder and 22% as a central midfielder.

To look adequately equipped and confident enough to appear in this vast array of positions, as well as to be trusted in this role is a testament to his intelligence and potential.

To possess a player of this versatility, output, and creativity mirrors the glorious days of the irrepressible Dimitri Payet, who was equally effective as either a left-winger or attacking midfielder.

Between 2015 and 2017, the mercurial Frenchman made 60 appearances in all competitions and registered 38 goal involvements. In 28 games on the left, he scored seven goals and created 13 assists, then from 27 matches in the centre, he netted seven times and crafted eight assists.

Dimitri-Payet-goal-against-Middlesbrough

In Payet’s debut season in England, the joyous technician was named the Premier League Player of the Year at the 2016 London Football Awards, as well as the West Ham Player of the Year.

The playmaker’s majestic creativity prompted huge praise from Zinedine Zidane, who said at the time: “He is one of the most important and talented players, not just in the French side, but in Europe.

“From a coach’s perspective, he is everything you look for in an attacking midfield player. He can score goals, he can create goals, he has real quality from set pieces.”

The east London faithful are desperately yearning for a new talent to replicate Payet’s heroics, and Kudus is well-placed to do so.

'I was scared watching myself on TV' – Sarfraz

The excessive media coverage that followed his reporting of an allegedly corrupt approach frightened the Pakistan captain

Sarfraz Ahmed was relieved and scared in the aftermath of being the target of an allegedly corrupt approach. The Pakistan captain reported the approach last week and though the PCB did confirm a player was approached with a fixing offer, it refrained officially from revealing the identity of the player at the time. It had passed on the information to ICC, internally allowing the global body to take over the matter.Speaking about the approach for the first time on Wednesday, ahead of Pakistan’s first T20I against Sri Lanka, Sarfraz said though he found himself relieved after reporting the incident, he was also “scared” watching himself excessively discussed on television. When the news first broke last Saturday, as expected, it was widely covered by the Pakistan media. Sarfraz was lauded for his swift response, but, given Pakistan’s history with fixing incidents, it understandably jangled some nerves.”Whatever happened, it is done and I did what I was supposed to do,” Sarfraz said in Abu Dhabi. “But I wasn’t frightened after informing; in fact, I was more scared watching myself on TV. I was discussed on TV so much that at some stage I started to feel fear. But by the grace of Allah, everything is getting normal. When you are going into a series you need to be normal and everything is going good so far.”Earlier this year, the second edition of the PSL, in the UAE, was disrupted by a spot-fixing scandal. A number of Pakistan players were the target of corrupt approaches there and have since been punished by the PCB – a few for failing to report approaches and two players – Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif – for more serious breaches of the PCB’s anti-corruption code.”To be honest the player reacted unbelievably well, he did everything required of him and we had a chat straight afterwards,” coach Mickey Arthur said on Monday after the incident.”It was handled brilliantly and I think that is a real example to our team and to the cricket world that a really important player was approached and acted to the letter of the law and did exceptionally well as a true ambassador of the game. I am very comfortable with our players they are outstanding and I have no doubt that if anyone is approached they will do the same way as the individual did.”Pakistan’s tour of the UAE has come down to the final leg, with the first match of the three T20Is against Sri Lanka on Thursday at the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi. A new-look Sri Lanka T20 squad was announced after several players, including regular limited-overs captain Upul Tharanga, had refused to travel to Pakistan to play the last match at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore. Despite clean sweeping the opponents in the ODI series, Sarfraz did not wish to take the young Sri Lankan side for granted.”They have a new team but I know them as I have played against them when they were with A team,” Sarfraz said. “I know Mahela Udawatte, [Danushka] Gunathilaka, [Isuru] Udana and T20 is a different form of the game and whoever plays better on the day will win. It will be an interesting series and fans will be able to see good cricket.”We naturally are very happy because we will be playing at home and if we can go on to lift the trophy in front of home fans, then nothing like it.”

West Ham: "Monster" Player "Ready To Fly" For Medical

West Ham United have tabled their first official bid for Ajax star Edson Alvarez and he is "ready to fly" for a medical, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Who will West Ham sign?

David Moyes hasn't enjoyed the best transfer window of his Hammers career, as his side remain the only Premier League club not to confirm a single signing so far.

There have even been reports of a difference in opinion between West Ham's head coach and new technical director Tim Steidten, as both men apparently dither over who to sign before September 1.

West Ham, after selling star Declan Rice for a club-record £105 million to Arsenal, must now reinvest that money on squad upgrades and quickly as we enter the final phase of this window.

Gianluca Scamacca, despite having spent just one year at the club, has joined Atalanta in a deal worth over £20 million – meaning Moyes and co have plenty to spend.

Moyes, speaking to the press in late July, claimed his side have made "several offers" for players and remains optimistic he can get a few over the line.

“Because of the shortness of the summer and being in Australia. it’s meant the time has been limited, but I’m sure we’ll get down to work and do what we have to do,” Moyes told Sky Sports.

“The club have made several offers for players, we’re out on the market, we’re quite active, and hopefully some of them will come off in the future.”

Alvarez, who has been targeted to reinforce the West Ham midfield, has already agreed personal terms to join Moyes' side and he could well be the closest to being done.

That was according to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has now shared another update on the 25-year-old's potential switch to the London Stadium.

As per the reliable transfer journalist, West Ham have now sent their first official bid to Ajax for the player, and Alvarez is "ready to fly" for a medical if both clubs can agree a fee.

"Understand West Ham have just sent first official bid for Édson Álvarez," wrote Romano on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Package around £30m. Follows exclusive story yesterday on personal terms agreed. Negotiations continue between with Ajax. Édson, ready to fly for medical any moment."

The Mexico international, who featured at last year's 2022 World Cup in Qatar, played 31 games for Ajax in the Eredivisie last term – scoring three goals and assisting three others.

How good is Edson Alvarez?

Ajax's Edson Alvarez

The North American ace was a mainstay for Ajax over 2022/2023 and ranked among their best-performing players, whilst averaging their second-highest rate of tackles per 90 (WhoScored).

Alvarez, who completed a brilliant 88.9% of his passes last season, also won more aerial duels per 90 than any other Ajax player – highlighting what exceptional cover he can be in the middle of the park.

Members of the media have called the player a "monster" in midfield for Mexico over these past few seasons and it's certainly possible Alvarez could help to fill the void left by Rice.

Tottenham: "High Level" Star "Wants" To Join Spurs

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet wants to make a return to Spurs this summer, according to Diario Sport journalist Marta Fernandez.

Who will Spurs sign?

Ange Postecoglou, as per reliable media sources like Fabrizio Romano, will soon be boosted by the arrivals of both defender Micky van de Ven and Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz.

Both transfer targets have been given the famous "here we go" by Romano, meaning Spurs are surely now about to seal their signings this summer.

Van de Ven and Veliz will join the likes of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, defender Ashley Phillips, playmaker James Maddison and winger Manor Solomon as new Tottenham players, coming after they also sealed permanent moves for Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski.

It's been a very busy week at Spurs but reports claim they may not even be done there, as Postecoglou apparently wants to add two new senior centre-backs to his roster rather than one.

football.london reporter Alasdair Gold said as much late last month, but multiple defensive additions will depend on outgoings.

Read the latest Tottenham transfer news HERE…

"The north London club are looking to sign two new senior centre-backs this summer," wrote Gold.

"It has not been ruled out that they could yet move for both players [Van de ven and Tapsoba] depending on departures from Postecoglou's squad.

"Tottenham will listen to offers for Sanchez, Joe Rodon and Tanganga this summer, while Eric Dier is keen to remain at the club."

Alongside both van de Ven and Tapsoba, Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo, Galatasaray's Victor Nelsson and Juventus defender Gleison Bremer and Lenglet have all been linked with Spurs moves too.

Sharing an update on the latter defender, who spent last campaign on loan at Tottenham from Barcelona, reporter Fernandez has claimed the Frenchman has his eyes firmly on a move to Spurs.

Speaking on Calciomercato.it's TV Play channel, the journalist said, amid interest from AC Milan:

“We have received this news from Milan but the player wants to return to Tottenham," said Fernandez.

"He has a high salary and the request is 15 million euros. Barcelona are not interested in Chiesa because Raphinha, Ferran Torres and even Abde can play in that role, but he can go to Real Betis".

What's been said about Clement Lenglet?

The 28-year-old featured regularly under Antonio Conte, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason last season with long-serving goalkeeper Hugo Lloris praising his former teammate.

Lloris, commenting after Spurs sealed a deal for Lenglet last year, called him a "modern" defender and "high-level" player.

He's a modern defender," said Lloris.

"Comfortable to be able to play from the back. He has a great left foot and can be very strong in one v ones and he's strong in the air.

"Even if it's never easy when you arrive in the Premier League and he will have to adapt to the intensity of the games but he is a high-level player, with experience."

The former Sevilla star could slot into Postecoglou's fluid, attacking system pretty well – with the player averaging a noteworthy 87.5% passing accuracy for Spurs last season. Indeed, only Cristian Romero managed a higher number (WhoScored).

Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s 109 salvaged a draw for Guyana, following on, against Leeward Islands at North Sound. Guyana slid to 79 for 4 in their second innings, still 127 behind, but the 43-year-old veteran batsman’s sixth-wicket stand with Anthony Bramble kept them afloat.Leeward Islands, who were put in to bat, declared on 412 on the second day after a number of solid performances. Post a second-wicket 165-run partnership between Montcin Hodge and Keacy Carty, Leeward Islands found themselves wobbling as they lost five wickets for 74 runs in the space of 16 overs. But then a couple of fifties from the lower order’s Jahmar Hamilton and Terrence Warde pushed them past 400.In reply, Guyana tottered to 57 for 7, as Jeremiah Louis, Stanny Simon and Rahkeem Cornwall decimated the line-up. Vishaul Singh sparked the only resistance at No. 4, with an unbeaten 97, as Guyana were bowled out for 206 after Warde cleared the tail.Following on, Guyana lost their opener Chandrapaul Hemraj early, and they lost wickets regularly thereafter as Leeward Islands closed in. But then the Chanderpaul-Bramble duo settled in, hitting five sixes and 14 fours between them, as they fended off the danger and pulled their side into the lead before the game was declared drawn.

Player Profile: Harry Kane

Harry Kane rose to prominence through a remarkable early career that showcased his prodigious talent and dedication. Born on July 28, 1993, in Walthamstow, London, Kane's journey to becoming one of the world's most prolific strikers was not as straightforward as other big names in the games.

Kane's professional journey began when he joined the youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspur in 2004. Loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City allowed him to hone his skills and prepare him for the big stage.

However, it was upon his return to Tottenham following a loan spell at Leicester in 2013 that Kane truly shone. In the 2014-2015 season, he burst onto the scene, notching an impressive 31 goals in all competitions and winning the Premier League Golden Boot.

Kane's scoring prowess continued, earning him a reputation for being a reliable and versatile striker. He broke the 20-goal barrier in nine successive seasons, including a record-breaking 2017-2018 campaign where he surpassed Alan Shearer's record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year with 39.

In addition to domestic success, Kane's international career flourished as he became an integral part of the England national team. He showcased his skill on the global stage, finishing as the top scorer in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and helping England reach the semi-finals, before eventually becoming the Three Lions' highest goalscorer of all time.

With numerous records, including multiple Premier League Golden Boots, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Harry Kane's early career is a testament to his determination, scoring prowess, and ability to rise to the occasion in the world of football.

Harry Kane On Loan

Harry Kane's loans at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City played a crucial role in shaping his early career, providing him with invaluable experience and a platform to develop his skills as a footballer.

Kane's loan journey began at Leyton Orient during the 2010/2011 season. Despite his youth, he showcased promise, contributing five goals in 18 appearances. This stint laid the foundation for his subsequent loans.

A move to Millwall in the 2011/2012 season further polished his talents. Kane's nine goals in 27 appearances demonstrated his adaptability and marked him as a rising star within the game.

The following season saw Kane loaned to Norwich City for the 2012/2013 campaign. It would, however, prove to be a difficult loan spell, with the striker failing to find the net in his five appearances for the Canaries.

Leicester City welcomed Kane on loan for the 2013/2014 season. He struggled there, too, contributing just two goals in 15 appearances, casting doubt on whether he would ever be able to make the step-up to Premier League football with Tottenham.

These early loans not only provided Kane with consistent playing time but also enriched him with diverse football experiences. The lessons learned and challenges faced during these stints helped mould him into the prolific striker he is today, solidifying his reputation as a football icon.

Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur

Despite his underwhelming loan spells at both Norwich and Leicester, Kane's breakthrough season arrived in 2014/2015, a campaign that witnessed his meteoric rise to prominence.

He scored 31 goals across all competitions, a feat that not only earned him the Premier League Golden Boot but also cemented his status as one of England's brightest footballing talents. The audacity of his goals, the precision of his finishing, and the unwavering commitment he displayed on the field endeared him to the fans, who recognized that a special talent was in their midst.

Kane's scoring exploits didn't fade as the seasons rolled on; in fact, they intensified. The 2015/2016, 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons saw him clinch three consecutive Premier League Golden Boots, a rare achievement that underscored his remarkable consistency and adaptability in front of goal. His ability to net goals from various positions and situations marked him as a complete striker, equally adept at headers, volleys, and clinical finishes.

The year 2017 marked a pivotal moment in Kane's Tottenham journey, as he shattered the long-standing record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year. Surpassing Alan Shearer's record, Kane ended 2017 with an astounding 39 league goals. Alongside this achievement, he also became the first player to score six Premier League hat-tricks in a calendar year.

In the same year, Kane was rewarded with the captain's armband at Spurs. His leadership qualities, which included leading by example and motivating his teammates, were evident both on and off the pitch. His dedication to the club's cause endeared him to fans and made him a true symbol of Tottenham.

Kane's impact extended beyond domestic competitions; he led the line with aplomb in European tournaments as well. His contributions in the Champions League were pivotal, with goals against Europe's elite clubs underscoring his ability to perform on the grandest stages. His knack for netting crucial goals solidified his status as a player who thrived under pressure.

Kane's illustrious journey at Tottenham was marked by consistent milestones. In February 2018, he achieved the remarkable feat of scoring his 100th Premier League goal, leading to many touting him as the best candidate to eventually go on and beat Alan Shearer's record of 260 Premier League goals.

The closest Kane came to winning silverware with Spurs came in the 2018/2019 season when Tottenham made it to the Champions League final, via two dramatic knock-out ties against Manchester City and Ajax in which they looked beaten in both before completing unlikely comebacks. Kane was injured for much of the second-half of that season but returned for the final against Liverpool, which Spurs lost 2-0.

As Kane's prowess continued to attract attention from European giants, his loyalty to Spurs remained unshaken. Despite lucrative offers from some of the world's biggest clubs, he chose to stay put, reaffirming his commitment to the club and its fans. This steadfastness further endeared him to the supporters, who saw in him not just a footballer, but a representative of their identity.

However, in the build-up to the 2021/2022 season, Kane's loyalty to Spurs was cast into serious doubt after chairman Daniel Levy rejected a £127m offer for Kane's signature from Manchester City. It was believed there had been a gentleman's agreement between Kane and Levy that he would be allowed to leave Tottenham that summer. It led to Kane not turning up for pre-season training and missing Spurs' first two Premier League games of the season. The striker did eventually announce that he would be staying at Tottenham for the foreseeable future, and he returned to action.

The 2022/2023 campaign will go down as a historic one for Kane. He went on to break the Premier League record for the most goals scored for a single club, netting his 185th top-flight goal for Spurs in a 1-0 win over Wolves. Kane then went on to become Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer, overtaking Jimmy Greaves' 266 for Spurs. His 267th goal for Tottenham was also his 200th in the Premier League, making him only the third player to reach that milestone after Shearer and Wayne Rooney. Despite missing out on the golden boot in that season, his 30 goals made him the first player to score 30 or more goals in two separate 38-game Premier League seasons.

It would prove to be his last real act in a Tottenham shirt, though. Despite being involved in Spurs' pre-season obligations, Kane agreed to a €100m move to Bayern Munich in August 2023, making him the most expensive player in Bundesliga history.

It was a move that split opinion among football fans across the world. Kane's time at Tottenham was underlined by the fact he had not won any silverware, despite being regarded as one of the most prolific strikers in the world. Many fans believed he simply needed to leave Tottenham in order to win the silverware his career and outstanding quality deserved. Others, though, claimed that he should've stayed in order to become the Premier League's all-time top scorer.

He ended his Premier League career with 213 goals, 47 behind Shearer and he left Spurs with an outstanding record of 280 goals in 435 first-team appearances.

Harry Kane at Bayern Munich

Kane made his Bayern Munich debut on the same day he signed for the German giants, coming on as a substitute in 3-0 defeat to DFL-Supercup, meaning his career-long search for silverware would continue a little longer.

The striker scored his first goal for Bayern Munich on the opening day of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga season, also registering an assist in a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen.

Harry Kane with England

Kane made his international debut for England on March 27, 2015, in a European Championship qualifier against Lithuania. His breakthrough on the international stage was rapid, and he quickly became a talismanic figure for the national team.

One of Kane's most memorable moments came during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Captaining the Three Lions, he led by example and clinched the Golden Boot, being the tournament's top scorer with six goals. England's journey to the semi-finals that year, coupled with Kane's stellar performances, captured the hearts of the nation.

He would also captain England to the European Championships final in 2021, with the Three Lions losing the game to Italy on penalties, following a 1-1 in normal time.

Kane's scoring prowess has resulted in numerous records and milestones for his country. He became the fastest player to reach 20 goals for England, achieving this feat in just 24 appearances. He then became England's all-time record goalscorer when his penalty in a 2-1 victory over Italy was his 54th goal for the Three Lions, overtaking Wayne Rooney. To-date, Kane's record for England stands at an impressive 58 goals in just 84 appearances.

Beyond statistics and records, Kane's leadership on and off the field has been instrumental in shaping the team's identity. His dedication, work ethic, and humble demeanour have endeared him to fans and teammates alike. Kane's commitment to representing his country with pride and professionalism has set a standard for generations to come.

Harry Kane's Personal Accolades & Records

Harry Kane's illustrious football career is adorned with an array of personal records and accolades that underline his extraordinary talent.

Newcastle target could now sign "new deal" instead

Newcastle United are unlikely to sign Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the summer transfer window, according to a key update from journalist Ben Jacobs.

How old is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

The winger, who is still only 22 years of age, enjoyed a fantastic season for Napoli last time around, standing out as one of the star players in Serie A, en route to his side winning their first league title since 1990.

Kvaratskhelia scored 12 goals and registered 10 assists in the league, proving to be unstoppable with his dribbling ability and trickery out wide, excelling alongside Victor Osimhen in attack and becoming a household name all over the footballing world.

The Georgian is arguably one of the most exciting players in world football currently and any club in Europe would likely want him, such is his long-term potential. Newcastle have been linked with an audacious move for him this summer, outlining the strides they have made as a club over the past 12 months or so, but an update has now emerged regarding a potential switch to St James' Park.

Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Will Newcastle sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jacobs admitted that Kvaratskhelia is not likely to join Newcastle this summer, instead staying put at Napoli:

"With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, I think that Napoli would only sell for an astronomical fee. Let’s not forget that he only joined at the beginning of last season, so he’s not desperate to leave.

"And I think a very likely scenario at the end of all of this will just be a new deal on improved terms for Kvaratskhelia at Napoli, so don’t rule out him staying."

This isn't a great surprise, in truth, with Napoli do desperate to keep hold of possibly their most prized asset, or only sell him for an absolutely extortionate amount of money. The players himself seems happy at his current club, and with his current deal there not expiring until the summer of 2027, it was clear that Newcastle would have to smash their transfer record in order to get him.

Should the situation change in any way, there is no question that Kvaratskhelia could be a special and game-changing signing for the Magpies, though – Brazil legend Kaka has hailed him as "very good" and Real Madrid manager Carlos Ancelotti has described him as a "great player" – and be someone who improves everyone around him, given the ability that he possesses.

For now, though, Newcastle should be looking at another outstanding wide option to bring in this summer – someone who can thrive on either flank and provide strong competition for the likes of Miguel Almiron and new signing Harey Barnes, ensuring that their squad depth goes up a gear with Champions League football to tackle, too.

It may not be the most pressing area of the pitch to improve in – a new centre-back to be Sven Botman first-choice centre-back partner could take precedence – but the money is there for the Magpies to spend and should they use every penny of it, if possible, in order to enjoy improved season.

Rangpur finished fourth, and will take on Khulna Titans in the Eliminator.Dhaka take a free-fallRubel Hossain bounced out Sunil Narine with his first ball when Narine fended meekly into the hands of short fine leg. Joe Denly survived a stumping chance on 2, but couldn’t capitalise as Samuel Badree, playing his first match, got Denly to hole out to long-on. Another short ball, this time from Ebadot Hossain, accounted for Jahurul Islam, who top-edged to first slip.Mosaddek Hossain and Evin Lewis exited in successive overs as Dhaka were brought down to 49 for 5 at the halfway stage.Shakib to the rescueMehedi Maruf and Shakib began Dhaka’s recovery with a 55-run stand for the sixth wicket. Mehedi made 33 off 23 balls with three fours and a six. It complemented Shakib’s 33-ball 47 that had two fours and as many sixes as Dhaka blitzed 76 runs in the last seven overs. Rubel and Ebadot took two wickets each while Badree, Nahidul and Razzak got one each.Rangpur’s experiment crashesRangpur made as many as seven changes to their XI. And they struggled to piece it all together. Jonathan Charles stood at the non-striker’s end and watched as Adam Lyth, Brendon McCullum and Shahriar Nafees fell cheaply. Charles was trapped lbw by Abu Hider. He had been Rangpur’s only set batsman then, having made 26 off 30 balls. To his and Rangpur’s further misfortune, replays later showed that Charles had got an inside edge. Mohammad Mithun fell two balls later, pinged on the pad by Shakib in front of middle. At the halfway stage, there was little to separate the two sides; Dhaka had made 49 for 5 and Rangpur managed 42 for 5.Ravi Bopara top-scored with 28, but took 30 balls as Dhaka refused to ease their stranglehold on their opponents. Shakib and Hider took two wickets each, while Mosaddek, Narine and Amir took one each.
