Ofendido por torcedores do Palmeiras em sua conta no Instagram, o zagueiro Vitor Hugo desabafou: disse que nunca fez corpo mole no Palmeiras e que não admite que seu profissionalismo seja colocado em dúvida. Ele ainda falou em ir embora do clube se essa realmente for a vontade da torcida.

“Vocês acham mesmo que eu que quero que as coisas aconteçam assim? Pelo amor de Deus, gente, vocês já me conhecem há mais de dois anos e sabem que nunca entrei com corpo mole pra defender o Palmeiras. Estou passando por uma fase difícil, sim, a propósito é a pior da minha carreira, mas logo essa urucubaca vai passar também e as coisas vão voltar a dar certo. Mas se vocês realmente acham que tenho que ir embora, espero que Deus ouça vocês”, escreveu.

“Sou profissional pra caramba e não admito que coloquem isso em dúvida. Impossível vocês estarem mais putos do que eu, viu, porque era a chance de eu voltar pro time. Mas é isso aí. Amanhã vou estar lá na Academia de novo trabalhando forte porque a vida é assim. Nada como um dia após o outro”, concluiu Vitor Hugo.

O zagueiro deve deixar o Palmeiras no meio do ano. A Fiorentina (ITA) avançou nas negociações para levá-lo e o negócio deve sair por 8 milhões de euros.

Vitor Hugo foi titular do início de 2015 até o início de 2017, quando perdeu a posição para Edu Dracena. Com o dono da posição machucado, ele começou jogando contra o Jorge Wilstermann e não foi bem na derrota por 3 a 2.

Fulham are reportedly being considered as the next destination for Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to Football League World. 

The lowdown

Carter-Vickers has been with Tottenham since 2009, but has found consistent minutes with their first-team hard to come by in recent years.

The defender spent last year’s campaign on loan with AFC Bournemouth, and played his part in their push for promotion into the Premier League as they fell just short in the play-offs.

The likes of Celtic and Cardiff City have both been credited with interest in signing the 23-year-old this summer, although a frontrunner was yet to emerge heading into the new league campaign.

Football League World now report that Fulham could be the next club that Carter-Vickers heads to, with Spurs considering their interest ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Cottagers were forced to settle for a point in their first match of the 2021/22 season, as they drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon.

The transfer window is set to close on August 31st, and Fulham are seemingly keen to add to their defensive options before that deadline later this month.

The verdict

This would be another solid addition to a Fulham team who are well-equipped to win promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

They’ve got a number of attacking talents in their team, with summer signing Harry Wilson already notching his first goal. But you need defensive solidarity in a team that is challenging for promotion, and Carter-Vickers could provide Marco Silva’s side with that this season.

The defender had an average Whoscored rating of 6.79, which put him seventh on the list when it comes to Bournemouth’s best performers during the 2020/21 season.

With just one year remaining on his current contract with Spurs, he’ll be fighting for his future, and that could play into Fulham’s hands, as Carter-Vickers will be wanting to perform to a high standard out on loan.

Former Luton Town boss Graeme Jones revealed that Brighton and Hove Albion boss Graham Potter labelled his character as ‘incredible’, with Carter-Vickers working with Potter whilst the pair were at Swansea City together back in the 2019/20 season, and that sort of character could certainly aid a promotion push at Craven Cottage.

Safety remains a prime concern and Heath Mills, the executive manager of the New Zealand Cricket Players’ Association, will not be recommending the team attends the tournament.”In all honesty, nothing I heard yesterday has allayed our concerns,” Mills said. Newcastle United have suffered a major setback before their Premier League clash against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Despite the hugely exciting news of Joe Willock’s signing on a permanent deal from Arsenal, the England under-21 international will not be able to make his ‘proper’ debut for the Magpies at the London Stadium.

Writing for The Chronicle on Friday afternoon, Lee Ryder said: “Willock arrived on Tyneside last night but the formalities of the incoming deal meant he was not registered in time for the 12pm deadline with the Premier League. Steve Bruce was hoping to sign Willock in time to be on the bench for the clash with West Ham.”

The midfielder was an absolute revelation for the Magpies during his loan spell at St James’ Park earlier this year, netting eight goals in 14 games for the club, as well as becoming the youngest player in Premier League history to score in seven consecutive top-flight matches.

Speaking after confirmation of Willock’s signing, Bruce said: “I’m absolutely delighted to secure our number one target. We have had to be patient and persistent, but it has been worth the wait to bring Joe back. I want to thank Lee Charnley in particular for the work he has put in to make the deal happen.

“The club have gone above and beyond to make it possible. Joe is a wonderful young player with all the attributes you want in a midfielder, and he certainly proved that during his time with us last season.

“This is a move I know our supporters really wanted us to make, and I know they will join me in giving Joe a very warm welcome back to St. James’ Park.”

The Magpies faced West Ham in the opening game of the Premier League last season and came away 2-0 winners from the London Stadium.

This time around the game will be played on their own turf at St James’ Park, and Bruce will be hoping for a similar performance and result, but they will have to do it without their one and only summer signing in Willock.

Newcastle fans must be gutted to see their new signing miss out on their first game of the Premier League season.

Após a vitória do Cruzeiro de 1 a 0 sobre o São Paulo, no último domingo, no Mineirão, válido pela primeira rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, o volante Hudson, que parece ter desabafado, questionou os críticos do Cruzeiro.

Os ‘cornetas’ reclamam do desempenho do time que sofreu duas eliminações em menos de uma semana (Campeonato Mineiro e Sul-Americana), além de ter jogado mal na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre a Chapecoense, em casa, no jogo de ida das oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil.

-A gente fica impressionado, às vezes, com o dinamismo que é o futebol. Antes do segundo jogo contra o Atlético, a gente era tachado como uma das melhores equipes do país. Perdemos dois jogos difíceis, contra equipes respeitáveis, que não é qualquer equipe que perde, e já fomos questionados. O importante é uma vitória em casa – comentou.

O meio-campista também pediu que os seus companheiros não se iludam com o resultado, mas apontou o Cruzeiro como um dos candidatos ao título do Campeonato Brasileiro.

– O Campeonato Brasileiro é muito difícil, os pontos em casa são importantíssimos, e é bom para dar uma confiança a mais agora. Enfim, a caminhada é longa, é jogo após jogo, não pode se iludir com resultados positivos. E também não pode se abater demais quando as derrotas vêm. O Santos jogou mal e fugiu de suas características, inclusive ao fazer cera, mas conseguiu segurar o The Strongest em La Paz e empatou por 1 a 1, resultado que garante o Peixe nas oitavas de final da Libertadores com antecedência.

Até os 23 minutos do segundo tempo, quando Vitor Bueno empatou com passe de Lucas Lima, o jogo era tenso e deixava qualquer torcedor sem ar, mesmo ao nível do mar. Aos 22 da primeira etapa, o Alvinegro já tinha Bruno Henrique expulso por faltas e reclamação, um gol do Tigre, feito por Chumacero, que driblou Cleber e Vanderlei, e uma reclamação de um pênalti não marcado. A jogada em questão foi logo no início, em que Hernández foi tocado e derrubado dentro da área quando estava prestes a finalizar.

Hernández foi a principal surpresa do técnico Dorival Júnior, que sacou Ricardo Oliveira para colocar o colombiano com o intuito de dar velocidade nos contra-ataques. O treinador também optou por Copete na lateral esquerda. Mas o que vinha dando certo até a expulsão de seu principal atacante era a marcação do time, que neutralizou por alguns minutos as subidas de Pablo Escobar.

A Ausência do camisa 9 foi ainda mais esquisita quando Dorival chamou Kayke para a vaga de Hernández, que ficou cansado no segundo tempo e não suportou os efeitos da altitude de 3.600 metros.

O que marcou a partida, além das mexidas de Dorival, foram os problemas com a arbitragem. Lucas Lima chegou a fazer sinal de roubo a um dos jogadores do Tigre. Dorival discutiu com o quarto árbitro a todo instante.

Antes mesmo do gol de empate, que parecia distante pela postura do Santos e da agressividade do Strongest, o Peixe já fazia cera com Vanderlei, que demorava a cobrar tiros de meta. O camisa 1 porém, garantiu todos os lances difíceis em que foi exigido, até que aos 37 minutos da etapa final cometeu pênalti.

Pablo Escobar, porém, desafiou o arqueiro santista e tentou converter com uma cavadinha: para fora, para deixar a classificação santista com ainda mais cara de Libertadores.

Com os reservas abraçados e resistindo ao frio, o Santos pedia mais do que nunca o apito final, como se pudesse ser ouvido pelo árbitro Darío Herrera.

Batizado por todas adversidades, o Santos tem cara de Libertadores. A equipe ainda não perdeu na competição e tentará garantir o primeiro lugar do grupo, que dá a vantagem de decidir em casa nas oitavas, na próxima terça-feira, dia 30, quando recebe o Sporting Cristal na Vila Belmiro, às 21h45.
