أوضح طبيب منتخب السنغال، موقف جناح الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ليفربول، ساديو ماني، من المشاركة في مباراة غينيا الاستوائية في دور الثمانية من بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا 2021.

وتلعب السنغال وغينيا الاستوائية مساء غد الأحد، في تمام الساعة التاسعة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” على ملعب “جابوما” في مدينة “دوالا” بقيادة الحكم، فيكتور جوميز.

وكان ماني قد غادر مباراة الرأس الأخضر الماضية بسبب عدم شعوره بالتوازن بعد اصطدام قوي مع حارس مرمى المنافس “فوزينها” الذي طُرد بسبب هذا الاحتكاك الرأسي.

وتحدث طبيب السنغال، عبد الرحمن فيديور، في تصريحات نقلتها وكالة “رويترز” عن حالة ماني، وقال: “اختفت جميع الأعراض التي كان يعاني منها ساديو على أرض الملعب في مباراة الرأس الأخضر الماضية”.

وتابع: “تتطلب حالته مراقبة دقيقة إلى حد ما، الآن، كل شيء أصبح طبيعيا وهذا ما نتج عن الأشعة التي خضع لها ماني في الساعات الماضية”.

وكانت السنغال قد فازت على الرأس الأخضر في المباراة الماضية بنتيجة 2-0 وتأهلت إلى الدور ربع النهائي من كأس أمم إفريقيا، بينما فاز غينيا الاستوائية على مالي بركلات الجزاء في دور الـ 16.

Former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell has urged Glasgow Rangers to sign Britt Assombalonga on a free transfer this summer.

Campbell urges Assombalonga move

The Gers have been linked with a move for the Congolese striker (GiveMeSport), who currently plays in the Championship for Middlesbrough.

Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell believes that the £2.7m-valued 28-year-old would be a great signing for the Ibrox outfit. He said:

“I think he’ll score a lot of goals in Scotland.

“Morelos will be out. I’m sure he wants to move. Britt Assombalonga would be a handful up in Scotland. He’d be a great replacement. 

“He’ll do very well there. On a free too, good business, really great business.”

Gers step up striker drive

It seems that the Gers may be preparing for the departure of Alfredo Morelos as they look to bring in a new forward. The Colombia international has recently revealed that he is eager to play in the Premier League (Radio Caracol), so it may only be a matter of time before he departs the club.

Assombalonga isn’t the only striker the Gers are said to be monitoring – it seems that they are also in pursuit of Peterborough United’s Jonson Clarke-Harris. Either way, it is important Ross Wilson and co to plan for Morelos’ potential departure, as much as they will be eager to avoid such a situation.

يعمل نادي برشلونة ونظيره باريس سان جيرمان على صفقة تبادلية قبل يوم من غلق سوق الانتقالات الشتوي في يناير الجاري.

بطل الصفقة التبادلية هو الفرنسي عثمان ديمبلي، حيث يعمل برشلونة على إيجاد مخرج للاعب الذي رفض الاستجابة لشروط تجديد العقد المحددة من جانب النادي الكتالوني.

وأفادت تقارير أن ديمبلي توصل لاتفاق شفهي بالفعل مع باريس سان جيرمان بعد تواصل من المدير الرياضي للنادي الفرنسي، ليوناردو.

ووفقًا لإذاعة “كادينا سير” الإسبانية، باريس سان جيرمان وبرشلونة يتفاوضان على صفقة تبادلية بين ماورو إيكاردي وعثمان ديمبلي.

كما تؤكد المصادر لوسائل الإعلام الكتالونية أن وصول ديمبلي إلى باريس سان جيرمان خيار حقيقي.

وبالنسبة لإيكاردي، برشلونة يعمل بالفعل على ضم صفقة هجومية لتعزيز هجوم الفريق تحت قيادة تشافي هيرنانديز.

حاول برشلونة التفاوض لضم ألفارو موراتا من يوفنتوس لكن لم تنجح المفاوضات بسبب شروط أتلتيكو مدريد الذي يملك حقوق اللاعب.

كما سعى البارسا لضم بيير إيمريك أوباميانج من آرسنال، لكم لم يصل لاتفاق حتى الآن، لذا قد يكون خيار إيكاردي مربحًا لجميع الأطراف حال نجحت الصفقة التبادلية مع باريس سان جيرمان.

Newcastle have opened talks with former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe about the possibility of taking over at St James’ Park, according to Frank McAvennie.

It was reported at the start of the month that Howe, who left the South Coast club last summer following their relegation from the Premier League, was on the verge of joining McAvennie’s former club Celtic.

But uncertainty has since crept in. Football Insider claimed that Crystal Palace intervened first in a bid to hijack the deal, and now McAvennie has revealed that, according to his sources, Newcastle have thrown their hat in the ring.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “Eddie Howe is going to be speaking to Newcastle.

“From what I hear, he’s holding back on Celtic and it looks like he’s talking to Newcastle, which is a shame because Steve Bruce has done a good job.”

Howe was Newcastle fans’ number one choice

Last month, 14,000 Newcastle supporters took part in a Chronicle Live survey, and a whopping 95% called for the club to part ways with Steve Bruce amid the threat of relegation.

10,000 of those fans voted on their preferences for Bruce’s replacement, and Howe led the way with the backing of 25%.

Transfer Tavern verdict

The hold-up in the proposed Celtic deal certainly suggests that Howe has cold feet. His preference may be another shot at Premier League management.

But it’s difficult to see him taking the job at Newcastle. Yes, they’re a huge club, but the 43-year-old has the air of an immensely ambitious coach, and the ceiling at St James’ Park is pretty low while Mike Ashley remains in charge.

Perhaps if the takeover is eventually completed that may change things, but at the moment we can’t see Howe becoming the latest in a long line of managers to be stifled by Ashley.

In other news, Newcastle have been told how much they should be prepared to pay for Joe Willock.

Leeds are facing Premier League competition in the race to sign Rangers star Glen Kamara in this upcoming summer transfer window.

What’s the story?

Reports in recent weeks and months have suggested that Marcelo Bielsa’s side are interested in signing the Finland international this summer, but it now appears that they will have to fend off some intense competition.

The Daily Mail claimed that the likes of Southampton, Brighton and Burnley are also keeping tabs on the midfielder, and that it’s understood Watford would also be interested if they earn promotion back to the Premier League.

The report added that “Kamara is understood to be relaxed over his position”, and that while he still has two years left on his contract at Ibrox and has a good relationship with manager Steven Gerrard, “that is unlikely to prevent Premier League sides testing Rangers’ resolve to hold onto him this summer”.

Orta facing transfer misery

Given that Leeds’ interest in Kamara first surfaced way back in October amid suggestions that a move could be made in the January transfer window, failing to strike a deal for the midfielder would now go down as a massive mistake by Victor Orta.

The Whites have clearly had their eye on the Finnish ace for quite some time now, and by failing to kick things into gear and sort out a deal as quickly as possible, they have allowed rival Premier League clubs to potentially come in at the last minute and swoop for the 25-year-old.

Neil McCann, his former coach at Dundee, has raved about Kamara previously, and it’s the kind of review which will surely have Marcelo Bielsa very excited at the prospect of working with him at Elland Road.

McCann said of the midfielder: “He isn’t a big, physical lad but he’s made of iron and really strong. I knew immediately that he could handle the ball under pressure and not give it away, so he was perfect. He’s a special talent. He’s lightning-quick but he doesn’t show it. He’s a player who takes instruction well.”

With the news that Leeds aren’t the only club interested in signing him, Orta’s task has just become more difficult – quite frankly, far more so than it actually should have been given they were keen on landing him late last year.

The dilly-dallying surely won’t have Bielsa happy at all.

أعلن النادي الأهلي عن موافقة اللجنة المنظمة لبطولة كأس العالم للأندية بالإمارات على تواجد الجنوب إفريقي بيتسو موسيماني، المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي، في ملعب آل نهيان لتولي القيادة الفنية أمام مونتيري المكسيكي اليوم.

ويلاقي الأهلي منافسه مونتيري في إطار منافسات الدور الثاني بالبطولة التي تنظمها الإمارات حتى يوم السبت المقبل الموافق 12 فبراير 2022.
