With the transfer window now open, Wolves are looking to add Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis to their squad in an attempt to bolster their ranks ahead of the new season.
That’s according to the Brazilian version of Goal who say that with the player out of contract at Atletico Madrid, he could make the switch to Molineux this summer. However, also interested are PSG and Flamengo.
But with the possibility of signing Luis on the table, Wolves supporters are strongly against the idea of him arriving in the Midlands.
One fan claimed the 33-year-old wasn’t good enough, whilst another suggested he was too old to join the club.
Another supporter took note of how little he did with Chelsea when he was formerly in the Premier League. With that in mind, it doesn’t seem the Molineux faithful are convinced.
When with the Blues, the left-back won the Premier League but only played 15 times in what was a largely unproductive spell.
Luis has enjoyed an illustrious career to date which has included multiple honours in Spain.

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Adrien Rabiot, but the Frenchman is just one more headache Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could do without.
What’s the story?
According to The Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are still interested in Rabiot despite failing to qualify for the Champions League.
The PSG ace is out of contract this summer, meaning clubs can effectively snap him up for free.

While the report claims both Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown interest, United are still in the race and want the 24 year-old to replace Ander Herrera.
Disaster waiting to happen
There is no question Rabiot is a gifted player. The 6 ft 2 in ace would provide physicality, composure and balance in the United midfield.
He is a fantastic passer of the ball and loves striding forward from deep, and should perhaps be seen more as a replacement for Nemanja Matic than Herrera.
However, the last thing Solskjaer needs right now is another mercenary with attitude problems.
Last summer, Rabiot refused to be a part of France’s standby list after missing out on the World Cup squad, per BBC.
Earlier this season, he effectively ruled himself out for the remainder of the campaign, refusing to pen a new contract and resigning himself to the bench, per AS.
When the Red Devils knocked the Parisiens out of the Champions League, the midfielder was spotted later that night partying in a Paris nightclub, per GOAL.com.
The mentality at Old Trafford right now is a far bigger issue than the actual talent on offer within the squad, and signing Rabiot to what will no doubt be massive wages, for free signings are able to negotiate huge salaries, will only worsen an already fractured mindset around the club.
If this is the type of signing Ed Woodward is offering up, then Solskjaer has no chance of mending the mood in the red half of Manchester.
The flight back from Baku will have felt a lot longer than it already was following Arsenal’s abysmal performance against Chelsea in the Europa League.
If they were any positives at all to take from the game, it was the fact that it highlighted that Unai Emery still has plenty of work left to do with the group of players he has available and an abundant of changes are going to have to be made in the summer transfer window.
Almost every single player on the pitch did not appear to come away from the game with any integrity as it was truly embarrassing to see the Blues maul the red part of London with such ease, especially after a first-half performance that offered so much promise.
One area of the squad that needs to be addressed and was further highlighted on Wednesday night was on the left of the pitch. The Gunners, as bad as they have been defensively, also appear to lack real quality going forward and could make do with adding a top-drawer winger to their ranks in the transfer window.
And, according to reports emerging from one Argentinian media outlet, it would seem Emery could have the perfect candidate on his radar to help improve Arsenal.

Valued at £7.2million by Transfermarkt, the exciting South American prospect has proved his worth in front of goal for Atalanta this season, having netted four goals in his eight matches so far, whilst providing his team-mates with one assist.
Barco, who is currently with the Argentina Under-20 squad for their World Cup campaign in Poland, has also continued that fine form with his nation, as he netted twice in their opener against South Africa’s Under-20 side and provided an assist in their win against Portugal Under-20s.
He may have been a natural number 10 during his time at Independiente, however, he also learnt to play in a wide position and appears to have adapted well to the role as time has gone by. The 20-year-old loves to dribble with the ball at his feet and take on his defender, whilst he is incredibly creative and has an eye for a pass.
Obviously, Barco is a young prospect still and is far from the finished article, however, he has all the potential to make a name for himself in European football.
Emery could be the perfect manager to develop and guide him as he looks to take his career to new heights, whilst he has all the ability to play a key role for Arsenal if he were to join them.

ونجح إنتر ميلان في تحقيق الفوز أمام نظيره الألماني بنتيجة (3-2)، ضمن مواجهات الجولة الخامسة لدور المجموعات.
وقال كونتي لـ “سكاي إيطاليا”: “جلادباخ في فترة ممتازة من حيث الشكل في كل من الدوري الألماني ودوري أبطال أوروبا، إذا لم تكن فريقًا من الناحية التكتيكية والبدنية ومن حيث الشخصية، فلن يأتي إلى هنا ويفوز”.

Loads of Manchester United fans are expecting this to finally be the summer that David De Gea leaves, after The Times claimed PSG will bid for the shot-stopper.
According to The Times, PSG have declared their interest in De Gea and are ready to make their bid.
The Spanish international has carried the Red Devils through the last couple of seasons almost single-handedly, barring a lapse in form towards the end of the last campaign.
Now though, after years of links to Real Madrid, it looks like Paris could be his exit route out of Manchester.
The Ligue 1 champions have already announced the departure of 41 year-old Gianluigi Buffon, and the report claims they are determined to finally secure a world-class goalkeeper.
Their goal is of course to turn their domestic dominance into some level of European success, as they seemingly always find a way to crash out of the continent’s biggest competition in dramatic style.
De Gea may go some way to achieving that, and United fans have their hearts set on saying an emotional goodbye to the 28 year-old.

Who is he?
Pedro’s full name is Joao Pedro Junqueira de Jesus. He was born in Ribeirao Preto in Brazil on September 26, 2001 and has only ever played his football with Fluminense.
He’s just 17 years of age, but that’s not stopped him making his mark in the Brazilian league. In fact he’s been so impressive that Premier League scouts touted the youngster before he agreed his move to Hertfordshire.
Similarly to Richarlison, Pedro will join Watford as a rising young Brazilian star hoping the Premier League club will provide the perfect opportunity to get game-time at one of the toughest leagues in the world.
“I’m very happy all these things are happening to me. It has been bringing a lot of happiness to me, my family and friends that have been helping me since I’m a kid, when I was in Ribeirao Preto,” Pedro told Fox Sports Brasil (via Sky Sports News).
“I think every kid of my age wants big things, to play for big clubs in Europe, in the Champions League, become world champions with Brazilian side, win the Ballon d’Or. Keep working to see if I can reach all my goals.â€
How does he play?
It’s not always fair to continuously draw comparisons between two young players, just because they happen to share similar positions and nationality, but in this case there are serious parallels between Richarlison and Joao Pedro to point out – especially when understanding what type of player the young Brazilian is.
Pedro plays as a forward with the ability to play out wide as well, making him incredibly versatile and able to fit into any formation Javi Gracia will want to adopt going forward.

He’s skilful and direct – not a ditherer on the ball – he’s all about running towards goal, taking players on and fashioning chances for himself and his teammates. He naturally pulls out wide to receive the ball making him very difficult to mark for centre-backs, and this trait will really suit Watford captain Troy Deeney whose movement tends to be more central, using his physique to keep the ball for his side.
Pedro will be able to use his movement to play off the Watford forward and provide width when players like Will Hughes and Roberto Pereyra drive inside.
2018-19 in numbers
Joao Pedro’s numbers are based off few appearances, but they’re incredibly impressive nonetheless.
The youngster made himself known for his incredible goal contribution from the minute he was handed his first-team debut, so it’s no surprise scouts from England came to watch one of the next big things in Brazil.
According to WhoScored, the Vicarage Road-bound forward has played 10 games this season, scoring eight times in that run. The youngster boasts a 77.3% pass completion rate as well, which won’t be surprising considering the nature of his style of play.

The Brazilian moved from Fluminense to Chelsea in 2015 and despite originally struggling in English football he’s gone on to impress at Newcastle United during two loan spells, making 28 appearances in all competitions last term. He enjoyed time on loan at Watford himself as well, the club where Pedro will soon end up.
When will we see him?
Pedro won’t join Watford until January 2020 when the Brazilian Serie A season ends, similar to Gabriel Jesus’ agreed move to Manchester City. He’ll be 18 when he arrives, so it will be interesting to see whether he’ll be exposed to first-team action immediately upon his arrival, or whether he’ll be bedded into the club in the months before the Premier League recommences once again in August 2020.
